Yips, yelps, and barks filled the route. All five of the little houndour pups chased and played with each other without a care in the world. It was such a cute moment. But with the sheer amount of houndours and houndoom the man had, this was the normal. Despite this however, a hint of a smirk tugged the edges of his lips. His gaze shifted over them, silently taking notes of their behaviors.

A suddenly howl snapped Maverick out of his daze, blinking rapidly to clear the haze that formed. Crimson colored orbs shifted to the source, spotting his canine Azula snarling at a wild pokemon. It was Vakare that was barked at the Granbull, fearless as he was dumb. The man sighed, moving closer to his pack as the other pups took shelter underneath their mom. “Sludge Bomb should do it,” he told the canine, kneeling down to usher the pups closer to him, “Get over here Vakare.”

The shadow houndour snarled at the wild pokemon, only to get corrected by his mother and forced to move out of the way. And once she was, Azula took in a deep breath. The taste of a toxic substance tickled her throat. Her muzzle parted, releasing several balls of toxic paste towards the wild pokemon. The Granbull grunted, arm like appendages lifted to shield its face. But when the glops of SLUDGE BOMB hit it, the canine whined in deep agony. Soon, the pain was too much and it fell to the ground with a thud.

Reaching into his pocket, the burnt scarred man plucked a ball from his pocket and tossed it at the pokemon. The ball knocked the creature beside the head, opening up and sucking the creature in. Once in, it fell to the ground with a solid thud. And as soon as it did, one of the pups darted to play fetch. Maverick sighed, shrugging his shoulders.
